Job Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager - Education Loans to drive partnerships with banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions. In this role, you'll identify and secure collaborations to integrate seamless loan options into our platform and prospect students / parents seeking finance for their higher study.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect & Partner with Banks and NBFCs offering Education Loans for Study Abroad and Study India
- Coordinate with partner Banks & NBFCs and facilitate processing of Loan applications referred by Xcellify
- Partner with Schools, Study Abroad Consultants etc to get Students seeking Education Loans and pitch Xcellify’s Education loan products to their students
- Analyse the background of the Students / Parents and put their application to the right Bank / NBFC partnered with Xcellify and help in document processing
- Co-ordinate with Digital Marketing Team to run campaigns to get students / parents and Schools seeking education loan & convert the leads
- Carry out physical campaigns in Education Fairs, Large apartment complexes etc to prospect Students seeking Education Loan. Represent Xcellify at education fairs, webinars, and fintech events; track ROI
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing) to integrate loan features onto the platform, such as personalized eligibility checks.
- Achieve quarterly targets of new partnerships, facilitated loan volume, and platform user conversion to loan inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, KYC processes, and data privacy in all deals.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).Atleast 3-5 years in business development, sales, or partnerships within finance / banking, with a focus on education loansProven track record in B2B sales : Closing deals with strong negotiation and client relationship skills.In-depth knowledge of Indian education finance market, including loan programs, underwriting, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., RBI SOPs).Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English and Hindi (regional languages a plus).Willingness to travel 20-30% for meetings in Tier 2 / 3 cities.Preferred Skills
Experience in EdTech or student services (e.g., aggregating loans via platforms like Vidya Lakshmi).High energy, results-oriented mindset; comfort in fast-paced startups.Whats on offer
