Your New Role...
This Theatrical Senior Financial Analyst role will oversee financial planning and analysis for APAC region territories. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for P&L ownership (Revenue / overheads), supporting both U.S. title releases and local theatrical productions, with a strong understanding of content economics and correlation of Box Office with financial algorithm. The role demands a high level of business acumen, precision in forecasting, and the ability to adjust planning pace to ensure accurate performance reflection and timely reporting. Success will depend on strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Lead the preparation of preliminary forecasts for studio reviews and month-end close, ensuring alignment with business expectations
Perform detailed variance analysis by reconciling actuals against forecast, budget, and prior year, providing clear explanations of performance drivers.
Collaborate with Studio FP&A and regional finance teams to develop robust forecasts and annual budgets, with a strong focus on P&L accuracy and attention to detail
Review and prepare journal entries, including accruals and true-ups, applying sound accounting principles to ensure financial integrity.
Maintain ownership of key P&L accounts such as amortization, commissions, and corporate SG&A, including intercompany transactions.
Uphold high standards of accountability by delivering timely, high-quality financial reporting to stakeholders
Build and maintain strong partnerships with business finance teams to facilitate effective information flow and cross-functional collaboration.
Support the enhancement of forecasting tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Drive process simplification and standardization initiatives, sharing best practices across FP&A teams.
Actively participate in business reviews and planning meetings, presenting financial forecasts and analysis with clarity and strategic context.
Qualifications & Experience…
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a plus.
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance roles within a dynamic business environment.
Demonstrated expertise in managing full P&L ownership, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Solid understanding of accounting principles to support commercial finance activities and ensure accurate P&L adjustments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with large data sets and analytical tools is highly valued.
Strong command of English, both written and verbal
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines, managing high volumes of data with accuracy.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to frame issues, articulate insights, and propose actionable solutions.
Experience building trust-based relationships with cross-functional teams and external business partners.
Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools; experience with ERP platforms and BI tools is an advantage.
Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and process optimization.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with evolving priorities.
