Job Description Summary :

Overall sales responsibility for business development, customer relationships and performance of an assigned customer portfolio for a high impact client base in a cluster / geographical area that will create opportunities for Maersk Rail a product.

Primary Responsibilities

• Approximately 10-15 years of experience in Sales or Business development for Ocean and ocean linked land side businesses in particular Carrier Haul for both export and import.
• Manages assigned customers and budget base while increasing share of wallet and market share.
• Pursues and secures new business in line with the business objectives linked to the Carrier Haul.
• Probes and identifies customer needs and provides solutions.
• Builds a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base.
• Communicates significant trends, rate changes and policies to assigned accounts.
• Researches and understands the territory to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers.
• Research and analyse competition and industry trends.
• Ensures customer relationship management tools are updated on time and are of excellent quality.
• Is typically responsible for high impact customers to the business in any size cluster.
