What you will do :

Newfold Digital is looking for a seasoned Data Engineer. This role will participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from scoping and requirements to solutioning, implementation and support. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience developing and supporting a DW service comprised of multiple Data Warehouses and ELT applications. The Data Engineer will contribute to the evolution of the processes and standards necessary to enable the development team to deliver quality, compliant, and timely solutions. The right candidate will have in-depth experience with Data Engineering, programming, ETL / ELT process, Database Management Systems (DBMS) – relational and dimensional, and an innovative / energetic mindset focused on delivering business value through collecting, organizing, structuring and storing data as a strategic asset. Additionally, the candidate must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The Data Engineer is responsible for the working as a team with BI Developers, Data Analyst, and Data Engineers, to ensure enterprise data warehouse and repositories are built with high performance, availability and scalability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end BI solutions including data pipelines, semantic models, and dashboards.
  • Build and optimize data models (star / snowflake schemas) to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Work with large datasets in cloud data warehouses (e.g., Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Develop and maintain ETL / ELT processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Handson knowledge with dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau or SSRS.
  • Partner with product, finance, operations, and leadership teams to deliver business insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce BI best practices , data governance, and documentation standards.
  • Provide operational support to Production Support.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in BI development and design principles.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing BI systems for performance and usability.
  • Who you are :
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 7–9 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics roles.
  • Strong knowledge of PL / SQL and experience with at least one major RDBMS or cloud data warehouse (e.g Oracle , Reshift).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., OCI Dataflow, Azkaban, Apache Airflow, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts , dimensional modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience working in cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Expertise in at least two scripting language (Python, Scala, Spark,Unix or Java) is a mandatory.
  • Proficiency in BI / Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Oracle Analytics) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices for BI (CI / CD, version control, testing).
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices .
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced product or SaaS company .
