Postgresql Database Administrator (Apply Now)

Role & responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures
• Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through best practices and monitoring
• Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database structures and queries
• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and backups
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development, test, and production environments
• Implement and maintain replication, partitioning, and high availability solutions
• Document database architecture, configurations, and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database and having Oracle / Mysql is an advantage

Proven experience in end-to-end database migration projects

Expertise in SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization

Familiarity with replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery setups

Experience working in Linux / Unix environments

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage

Experience with heterogeneous database migrations (between different engines)

Skilled in performance optimization techniques

Ability to cloud db RDS transactional environments and plan migration strategies

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification : B.E / B.Tech (CSE / IT) / M.C.A / M.Sc(IT) only with 60%.

Experience : 2-5 years as a PostgreSQL DBA.
