Basic Functions :
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc, a division of Nucor, the United States’ largest recycler and largest
manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Sr. Detailer at our business unit located in New Delhi. Duties of the successful candidate include but are not limited to the following :
Independently detail and coordinate complex projects
Continue developing advanced detailing skills within the Nucor Towers & Structures Detailing System
Review project drawings, schedules, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information
Identify and develop information to inform internal teammates of any changes made to drawings.
Address change orders produce related documentation, and enter them into the business system
Prepare accurate 3D models and corresponding erection and shop detail drawings using
Autodesk Inventor and Bluestar PLM software
Manage revisions with team and ensure drawings are updated. based on redlines or feedback from engineers and senior detailers.
Communicate with engineers and other internal teammates to address project questions
Develop the ability to support project management and project coordination by preparing reports to support.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with local and global teammates
Coordinate detailing efforts across projects or teams
Mentor and Supervise Junior Detailers
Perform quality control reviews of drawings and 3D models ensuring Quality assurance & Quality control practices are followed
Approve and sign off on drawings for release to fabrication or field
Ensure all drawings are entered into PLM with appropriate parameters and attributes that are needed for procurement and production.
Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor
Work overtime when required to meet commitments
Travel may be required but infrequent
Minimum Qualifications :
Able to communicate in English
Vocational certificate in CAD design / drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent combination of training and work experience
At least six years of experience detailing using a CAD based detailing system
Preferred Qualifications :
Two-year technical degree from an accredited school or college
Expertise using Autodesk Inventor software, also will consider other 3D CAD software experience
Competency using PLM, PLS-CADD, PDM, or ERP software
Utility structures industry experience
Experience developing and / or maintaining drafting standards or library
