About the Role :
We are seeking a visionary Lead Industrial Designer to define the next generation of Ola products that go beyond traditional mobility. The role spans across vehicles, intelligent systems, and emerging product categories — blending design, technology, and human experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end industrial design programs across mobility and future product ecosystems —
from concept to production.
Translate product strategy into compelling, manufacturable design outcomes that embody brand identity, innovation, and user-centricity.Drive ideation through sketches, 3D modelling, and visualization to achieve both functional and emotional impact.Collaborate with engineering, CMF, studio engineering, and visualization teams to ensure seamless design-to-build integration.Explore new materials, manufacturing processes, and human–machine interaction paradigms to shape next-gen products.Mentor a team of designers, fostering creativity, technical depth, and executional excellence.Communicate design intent effectively to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.Required Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Transportation, or Product Design.8+ years of experience in leading industrial design projects across mobility or advanced productdomains.
Strong 3D surfacing and visualization proficiency (e.g., CATIA, Alias, ICEM Surf, Blender, or Rhino).Deep understanding of ergonomics, materials, manufacturing feasibility, and user experience integration.Proven leadership in managing and interacting with multidisciplinary design teams and delivering production-ready outputs.Excellent storytelling and presentation skills; able to articulate design rationale and influencedecisions.
