Akamai certifications are a strong plus. 7+ years in post implementations configuration engineer role / professional services, with 2 to 2.5+ years of hands-on experience in the relevant Akamai Delivery, DNSSec & Observability solutions (Ion CDA, Web socket, Edge workers, Data stream, Cloudlet, Image & Video manager, Netstorage, mPulseLite, Edge DNS DNSSec & Traffic peak observability solution). Akamai Edge Delivery Technical Mastery on Ion, Akamai university product trainings that covers configuration and best practices for Delivery (Ion, Edge Workers, Cloudlets, etc.), DNS Security (Edge DNS), and Observability (Traffic Peak) inclusive of any Akamai Technical Academy Certificates (Network Engineering / Customer Consulting & Support) – provide foundations in networking, DNS, troubleshooting, and client engagement is a plus. Complementary industry certs like CCNA / CCNP, AWS / Azure / GCP Cloud Certs that can help strengthen overall infrastructure and integration expertise is an added value(optional but preferred) Required Skills Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills. Direct Customer handling experience Strong expertise in Akamai Delivery products, with practical experience in Ion CDA, WebSocket, EdgeWorkers, DataStream, Cloudlets, Image & Video Manager, NetStorage, and mPulse Lite. Working knowledge of DNS Security (Edge DNS) and Observability tools (TrafficPeak). Hands-on experience in configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting within the Akamai Control Center (UI). Solid understanding of CDN technologies, web performance optimization, and internet protocols ( DNS, TCP / IP). Proficiency in log analysis and performance monitoring to drive actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical data into customer-friendly recommendations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with customers and cross-functional teams.
