Role Overview :

As a Motion Graphics Video Editor at YAAS, you'll be responsible for creating visually compelling content for both short-form and long-form platforms. This role demands technical expertise, creative vision, and an understanding of audience retention strategies and is one of the key roles within the YAAS!

Key Responsibilities :

Create and deliver high-quality motion graphics for either short-form videos OR 4 long-form videos.

Transform scripts and concepts into visually engaging content that maintains viewer retention

Apply advanced editing techniques, visual effects, and motion graphics to enhance storytelling

Collaborate with scriptwriters and content strategists to ensure visual elements align with narrative goals

Optimise content for platform-specific requirements (Instagram, YouTube) with attention to algorithmic performance

Maintain consistent brand identity and visual standards across all content

Meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment without compromising quality

Requirements :

Proven proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics expertise and visual storytelling ability

Deep understanding of design principles, colour theory, and typography in motion

Experience with retention-first editing techniques specifically optimised for YouTube and Instagram

Basic understanding of platform algorithms and audience engagement metrics

Ability to interpret scripts and transform written content into compelling visual narratives

Time management skills to handle production volume while maintaining quality standards

Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to iterate based on feedback
