Job description
An Assistant / Associate Professor of Pharmacy teaches undergraduate and graduate pharmacy courses, conducts scholarly research and publishes findings, mentors students, and participates in departmental service and curriculum development. Key responsibilities include developing and delivering instruction, supervising student research, securing grants, contributing to the academic community through committees, and staying current with advances in pharmaceutical science.
Key Responsibilities :
- Teaching and Instruction : Deliver engaging and high-quality instruction in pharmacy-related subjects to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Curriculum Development : Create and update course content, syllabi, and lesson plans to reflect the latest advancements and best practices in pharmacy.
- Research : Conduct original research in pharmaceutical sciences, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and present at academic conferences.
- Mentorship : Guide and advise students on their academic and professional development, and supervise graduate student research projects and dissertations.
- Service : Participate in departmental and university committees, contribute to curriculum planning, and engage in outreach activities within the academic community.
- Grant Acquisition : Actively pursue and secure research funding to support scholarly endeavors.
- Professional Development : Engage in continuous learning and networking to stay abreast of new knowledge and techniques in the field of pharmacy.
Qualifications
M.Pharm & Ph.D Pharmacognosy.GPAT qualifiedExperience in teaching and / or the pharmaceutical industry.Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.Proficiency with educational technologies and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)Skills Required
