Job Summary :
This role involves a multidisciplinary approach to telecommunications infrastructure development, encompassing Fiber Design, Civil Design, GIS, and Drafting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of design, planning, and implementation of fiber optic networks, civil infrastructure, and the management of spatial data. This role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure the successful execution of network projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Fiber Design :
- Design and develop fiber optic network layouts, including underground and aerial routes.
- Conduct site surveys and create detailed engineering designs, including splicing plans and network schematics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, providing technical support during the implementation phases.
- Perform quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of designs.
Civil Design :
Design and plan civil infrastructure for fiber optic network installations, such as trenches, ducts, and conduit systems.Perform site assessments, develop construction drawings, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project goals and provide on-site technical support during construction.GIS Specialist :
Develop and maintain GIS databases for fiber optic network projects, creating detailed maps and spatial analyses.Perform data collection, processing, and integration to support network design and construction activities.Generate reports and visualizations for project stakeholders, ensuring GIS data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Drafting :
Produce detailed technical drawings and schematics for fiber optic networks using CAD software.Translate design specifications into accurate plans, including layouts for fiber routes and infrastructure.Review and revise drawings based on feedback, maintaining an organized library of drawings and project documentation.
