Speciality Chemicals : The Specialty Chemical business of Jubilant Ingrevia manufactures Pyridine, Picolines and its forward integration derivatives, which finds application in agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, solvents, metal finishes, fine chemicals, semiconductors etc.

We have also launched new platform of Diketene & its value-added derivatives for multiple industry use. We are an established 'partner of choice' in CDMO, with more investment plans in GMP & Non-GMP multi-product facilities for Pharma, Agro and Semi-conductor customers.

Chemical Intermediates : The Chemical Intermediates business has acetic anhydride and value added anhydrides and aldehydes catering to various industries.

The Position

Reporting Manager : - Associate Director, Design & Engineering.

Job Summary

The Manager Design & Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing design and engineering projects from concept to completion. This role requires ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development
• Lead creation and review of design plans and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with standards and client expectations.
• Technical Expertise
• Lead projects from R&D / pilot phase to successful plant commissioning.
• Develop Basic Engineering Package : process design basis, criteria, PFD, heat & mass balance, hydraulics, P&ID, control philosophy, interlock diagrams, IPDS, equipment specs, pump calculations, line / equipment sizing, utility load, operability / layout reviews, pressure drop, safety device sizing.
• Coordinate with R&D / pilot teams for process scale-up.
• Design or modify process plants / equipment; propose debottlenecking and cost-saving improvements.
• Support plant operations : maximize capacity, improve raw material and energy efficiency, enhance quality, EHS aspects.
• Drive cost savings and process optimization.
• Prepare pre-CAPEX / CAPEX proposals.
• Prepare technical specs, datasheets, review vendor drawings, nozzle orientation, QAP approval.
• Review piping isometrics and approve detailed engineering documents.
• Manage pre-commissioning / commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated with technological advancements.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and innovations.
• Project Management
• Oversee design projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.
• Client Interaction
• Understand client needs and present design solutions.
• Incorporate feedback and maintain strong relationships.
• Quality Assurance
• Implement quality control procedures.
• Conduct inspections and address issues promptly.
• Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure adherence to regulations and obtain necessary approvals
