Virbhu India Pvt Ltd a startup company located at Vadodara (Gujarat), wholly owned subsidiary of AK Power Solutions (www.akpowers.com) (USA), operating in the field of power electronics, has an immediate opening for a Head of Technical / development to lead development of Medium ACVoltage to medium DC voltage at 1000s of Amps with inbuilt Active Front End (AFE) converters and face shifted full bridge(PSFB) configuration to leverage the fast switching and low losses of SiC devices for high efficiency and power density using MMC topology and IGBT to develop power converters for fast growing markets such as high current DC fast Charging of trucks and buses , solar power generation , Battery energy storage systems, electrolytic deposition , electrolyzes to produce Hydrogen fuel and other applications of KA of DC current .

We are racing to the market to bring solid state transformer technology to the market.We plan to sell our first 1000 Amp converter in 2026.

AK power Solutions sells IPM (integrated power modules) for fast DC charging currently in USA and is led by an IIT graduate of 1965. In addition to this, he also leads highly profitable largest transformer manufacturer in USA.

Virbhu is part of several complexes located in Roanoke, company is in the process of acquiring a manufacturing facility.

We Are Hiring – Firmware Engineer!

Location : Vadodara, Gujarat (This is a must.)

Timings : 09 : 00 AM to 06 : 30 PM

Working Days : Monday to Friday

Experience : 5 – 10 Years

Key Skills :

Expert on Firmware development, Testing & Verification.

Expert of Embedded C, Assembly language, MATLAB.

Experience in simulation for control topologies, Auto code generation and model base design.

Experience on different MCU like TI C2000 series, Infineon series etc.

Experience with different compliers like code composer studio, Tasking, Keil.

Experience on version control toll such as SVN, GIT, etc.

Experience on ISO documentation & project execution procedure.

Expert on firmware development for different power conversion application, like AFE, PSFB, DC-DC Converter, AC-DC Converter, DAB etc.

Knowledge of software language Embedded C, assembly Language, Python etc.

Experience to work with interfacing of RTC, EEPROM, Flash Memory, FRAM memory, Temperature sensor, etc.

Experience in programming of Microcontrollers / DSPs / FPGA.

Exceptional knowledge of OS coding techniques & RTOS.

SDLC & automated testing using scripts.

Essential Duties / Principal Responsibilities

Design & develop firmware for microcontroller / DSP / FPGA based board for Power conversion stage like, AFE, PSFB, DAB, DC-DC converter, AC-DC Converter etc. type of application.

Active participation for Design, selection, Specification, and validation of critical hardware components-Microcontrollers, Memories, Communication interfaces etc.

Closely work with team for system level requirements and test including requirements analysis & documentation, verification and testing of boards.

Design & develop firmware drivers in C, C++ participate in FMEA and risk assessment activities.

Work on diverse type of controllers, ARM cortex based, DSPs, FPGAs.

Management of source code and it’s different versions, configuration management and software release.

Assist OEM’s and end users in the implementation of their specific software requirements.

Interface as needed with product management, customers, Marketing & sales providing technical guidance on product developed.

Keep well informed of new features and products / services.

Be proactive in understanding product / services roadmaps and the implication of new features with peer engineers or self -training.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualification : Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License / Certification :

4-Year bachelor’s degree / 4+2 -Year Master’s Degree in Power electronics, Electronics & Communication or equivalent.

5-10 years of electronics product development domain.

Use of recognized best practices in Hardware / Firmware / Software development methodologies and processes.

Excellent Communication skills with strong English both Written & Spoken.
