We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Parts Sales Representative to assist customers in selecting and purchasing automotive parts and accessories. This role involves providing expert product advice, processing orders, managing inventory, and supporting both retail and wholesale clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems and components, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service.
- Assist walk-in and phone-in customers by identifying their parts needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive parts, tools, and accessories for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Handle sales transactions, prepare invoices, issue quotes, and track orders through inventory and supplier systems.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with restocking, and report low inventory or obsolete parts to management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with retail customers, automotive repair shops, fleet companies, and dealerships.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets through upselling and cross-selling of parts and services.
- Provide basic technical guidance on installation or compatibility of parts, or refer customers to technical staff as needed.
- Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims according to company policies.
- Ensure the sales floor and parts displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
