Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement Microfinance business in South Region for BFL. Plan Business launch by defining business targets,
driving geographical expansion in new locations and drive overall performance of JLG loans, to ensure achievement of
defined business targets.; Ensure adherence of controllership and governance frameworks for ensuring management of business risk and maintenance of portfolio quality.
1. Business planning and management
Define monthly business targets for South locations, provide required support to team, in terms of action planning
and approach for achieving defined targets
Manage cascading down of targets till last mile in team and ensure team delivers superior results
Build and manage business enablers in terms of processes and systems required to support team in delivering
business responsibilities
Ensure business plans / AOP is reviewed and updated in a timely manner to ensure alignment with defined strategy
and targets for MFI SBU business
2. Operational and business review
Conduct monthly review of income and expenses under the P&L for the business, identify areas and reasons for
deviations and present to SBU Head Microfinance
Provide suggestions for business governance model, policies, etc. in a timely manner and ensure process adherence
and compliance of all policies and processes
Review location wise performance with team on monthly basis to ensure achievement of targets in timely manner
Design action plans in case there is deviation from planned business targets or governance with control
mechanisms is not being maintained
3. Portfolio management
Establish and monitor controllership and compliance governance frameworks to ensure business risk is managed
efficiently, in alignment with regulatory requirements
Monitor location wise portfolio quality and fraud occurrences to identify areas of concern and develop solutions
manage them efficiently
4. Geographical expansion planning
Identify potential business locations, check their business feasibility and certify for expansion by developing
planning for resources required (manpower and operational support)
Conduct training of teams to be set in new locations and provide them required support in managing / driving
business in new locations
