What We Are Looking For The GIS Lead will build and scale the India-based ERD & GIS capability supporting global disaster response, equipment management, GIS mapping, estimation data, and operational design.
- Fits within the ERD / GIS / Operations Support function, reporting directly to US leadership.
- Will manage and mentor a team of GIS / ERD specialists in India.
- Success in the first 12 months will be measured by improved GIS layer quality, faster turnaround on spatial data, and seamless integration with US operations. What You Will Do
- Build and lead a GIS / ERD specialist team.
- Establish SOPs, templates, standards, and quality frameworks.
- Mentor junior GIS analysts.
- Oversee creation of GIS layers, polygons, buffers, and layouts.
- Prepare operational maps for proposals and active operations.
- Manage version control and spatial data governance.
- Provide haul distance analysis, buffer analysis, and zoning assessments.
- Support Revenue, Equipment, and Ops teams in proposal activities.
- Validate estimation assumptions using GIS data.
- Build and maintain equipment databases with Ops & Equipment teams.
- Support telematics integration (Samsara, VisionLink, Qtanium).
- Conduct spatial analysis for operational decision making.
- Implement dashboards, automation, and GIS standards.
- Support Ops dashboards, Ceres 360, and geospatial integrations.
- Act as primary India liaison for US ERD / Ops leaders.
- Provide updates, ensure alignment, and maintain communication.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Data Science, or similar.5–10 years of GIS or spatial analysis experience.Strong proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, and spatial tools.Strong analytical and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in disaster management, debris, or environmental services.Familiarity with telematics equipment platforms.Experience supporting proposals or operational planning.
