Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through comprehensive market research and analysis
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, general counsel, and key decision-makers
- Conduct client needs assessments and tailor legal service offerings accordingly
- Implement strategies for client retention and account growth
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across different practice areas
Strategic Planning & Implementation
Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with firm objectivesCollaborate with partners and senior associates to create strategic plans for client acquisitionMonitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developmentsPrepare detailed business development reports and analytics for senior managementPitching & Proposals
Lead the preparation of compelling pitch materials and proposals for potential clientsCoordinate RFP responses and tender submissionsPresent firm capabilities and credentials to prospective clientsManage pitch deadlines and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materialsMarketing & Events
Plan and execute networking events, seminars, and client entertainment activitiesManage the firm's participation in legal conferences and industry eventsCoordinate with marketing team on promotional campaigns and initiativesOversee digital marketing efforts including social media presence and content strategyManage the firm’s ranking submissions and engagement with Chambers, Legal 500, Asia Law, Benchmark Litigation, IFLR 1000, and other portals.Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with partners, lawyers, and associates across all practice areasFacilitate internal business development training and knowledge sharing sessionsMaintain and update client relationship management (CRM) systemsProvide market intelligence and competitive analysis to legal teamsRequired Qualifications
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or related fieldMBA or advanced degree preferredProfessional certifications in business development or marketing are advantageousExperience
Minimum 5-8 years of business development experience in professional servicesPrior experience in law firms, consulting, or legal services industry highly preferredProven track record in client acquisition and relationship managementExperience in the Indian legal market and understanding of corporate legal needsSkills & Competencies
Excellent communication and presentation skills in EnglishStrong relationship-building and networking abilitiesProficiency in CRM software, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and business intelligence toolsUnderstanding of legal terminology and various practice areasStrategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProject management capabilities with attention to detailPreferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Indian corporate law and regulatory environmentExisting network within the Indian business and legal communityInternational business development experienceFluency in additional Indian languagesWhat We Offer
