Senior Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based test automation, Selenium, API testing, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.

Create and execute API test cases using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.

Implement and maintain BDD test scripts using Cucumber in collaboration with developers and business analysts.

Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines.

Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end quality.

Identify test requirements, create detailed test plans, and write reusable automation scripts.

Analyze test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience in Java programming for test automation

Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver

Proficient in API testing (RESTful services)

Experience with BDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber

Good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)

Working knowledge of version control systems like Git

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI

Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of performance or security testing is a plus

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Familiarity with Playwright for modern end-to-end testing

Exposure to mobile automation tools such as Appium
