Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage day-to-day administration of network firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and proxy systems .
  • Add, modify, and validate firewall, VPN, IDS / IPS, and proxy policies and rules based on customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to network security devices and technologies.
  • Coordinate the deployment and rebuild of firewall and proxy infrastructure as needed.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis.
  • Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline and scale security operations.
  • Maintain and update incident, request, and change records as per ITIL processes.
  • Participate in problem management and root cause analysis (RCA) activities to ensure long-term resolution of recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve the security posture and implement best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Computer Science , or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls (., Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks) – proficiency in at least two is required.
  • Proficient in proxy policy management using tools like Zscaler and Forcepoint .
  • Experience with cloud-based Web Application Firewalls (WAF) like Imperva , Akamai , F5 , or Fortinet – expertise in at least two is preferred.
  • Experience using centralized management platforms like Provider-1 and / or Panorama .
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network environments and resolve issues independently.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting for operational efficiency is a plus.

  • PCNSE – Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer
  • CCSE – Check Point Certified Security Expert
  • CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • CEH – Certified Ethical Hacker
  • Security+ – CompTIA Security+
