Technical Product Owner

About the Role We are seeking a Technical Product Owner to bridge business priorities with engineering execution. You will own the program backlog, translate features into actionable user stories, and ensure technical feasibility while delivering high-value outcomes in a SAFe Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Partner with Product Management and Business Owners to translate epics / features into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure backlog items capture technical dependencies, enablers, and integration points. Prioritize and maintain a healthy program backlog aligned with business goals and delivery capacity. Work with architects and engineers to validate technical feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs. Define MVP slices of features to drive incremental delivery and value realization. Ensure delivered stories meet business outcomes and technical quality standards. Support PI Planning by preparing backlog items, clarifying requirements, and ensuring dependencies are visible. Partner with Release Train Engineer (RTE) and Scrum Masters to track progress, resolve blockers, and manage risks. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner, Product Owner, or Product Manager in a SAFe or scaled Agile environment. Strong experience in backlog management, story decomposition, and acceptance criteria definition. Technical fluency in software architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud, or data concepts to collaborate effectively with engineering. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills. Certifications such as SAFe POPM (Product Owner / Product Manager) preferred.
