Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Procurement – Strategic Sourcing team as an Engineer / Senior Engineer (Electrical & Electronics Sourcing).

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing suppliers of electrical and electronic components to ensure the highest standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. You will work closely with design, production, and supplier teams to achieve optimal sourcing outcomes for SCHWING’s diverse range of products.

Roles & Responsibilities

Source and procure electrical and electronic components in line with company quality and cost objectives.
Estimate costs and negotiate pricing for components such as cabinets, switchgear, cables, wiring harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
Evaluate suppliers for capability, quality, and compliance; manage supplier qualification and performance monitoring.
Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Conduct PPAP audits, identify non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Review APQP documentation and ensure supplier adherence to project timelines.
Process purchase orders accurately and track delivery performance.
Collaborate with design and production teams to address quality or supply-related issues.
Prepare and present monthly KPI reports and sourcing performance updates to management.
Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen supplier relationships and enhance overall procurement efficiency.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of Electrical & Electronics components sourcing and costing.

Proficiency in SAP (Purchasing Modules) and vendor management systems.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Strong skills in buying, negotiation, and agreement / contract administration.

Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

Experience in supplier evaluation, audits, and process compliance.
