Job description

Description GSPANN is hiring a Technical Architect with expertise in UI to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-quality frontend solutions. The role involves providing architectural guidance, driving pre-sales, and ensuring on-time delivery of e-commerce and omni-channel applications.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary spokesperson for solutions and applications, liaising with customers and delivering capability demonstrations.
  • Lead client proposals, including presentations, scoping, effort estimation, and other pre-sales activities.
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs) with milestone plans, key deliverables, assumptions, commercials, dependencies, and other contractual artifacts.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop eCommerce strategies aligned with their business goals.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance for frontend web applications.
  • Take complete ownership of assigned projects and ensure delivery on time with high quality.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage change requests and control scope creep.
  • Monitor project baselines to ensure planned progress and timely delivery.
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) for projects, ensuring consistent margins and compliance with client service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks in the timeline and budget.
  • Participate in key Agile sprint ceremonies such as Sprint Planning and Retrospectives.
  • Oversee daily activities of the delivery team, providing direction and guidance when required.
  • Guide the team in requirement closures, design, development, verification, and validation tasks.
  • Identify and implement productivity and quality process improvements.
  • Make critical business decisions to meet client expectations.
  • Ensure the team maintains operational excellence and a high level of competence.
  • Publish regular status reports with metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), architects, and leads to define best practices and benchmarks.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues on programs or projects and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support account mining by identifying new service opportunities and assisting sales teams in closing deals.
  • Provide thought leadership by identifying business problems, creating frameworks, and offering innovative solutions to clients.
  • Generate and execute onboarding, training, knowledge transfer (KT), and skill-building plans.
  • Contribute to hiring the right talent for the organization.
  • Mentor and motivate team members, handle appraisals, and drive employee engagement and retention.
  • Ensure case studies are created, published, and shared with stakeholders.
  • Encourage team members to write white papers and blogs to showcase expertise.

Skills and Experience

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of IT experience in user interface (UI) technologies and frameworks such as Angular, ReactJS, Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Vue.js, and Bootstrap.
  • Proven experience working on e-commerce projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Architect.
  • Strong track record in developing and managing omni-channel applications (mobile, tablet, web) using responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Knowledge of building UI for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / Demandware) platforms.
  • Hands-on experience developing Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda functions.
  • Expertise in RESTful services and industry-standard design patterns.
  • Proven ability to configure and optimize the performance of UI applications.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects with “first time right” quality and zero defects in production.
  • Client-facing experience in a cross-functional, matrixed organization with close collaboration across stakeholders, offshore development teams, senior management, and onsite teams.
  • Experience in pre-sales activities, including Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Strong coding skills and proficiency in estimation techniques (Use Case, Function Points, Story Points).
  • Experience making presentations and demos for customers and internal management.
  • Proven success in building and managing teams of 30+ resources across accounts or UI portfolios.
  • Experience driving organizational initiatives such as case studies, white papers, and blogs.
  • Proficiency with version control and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) tools such as SVN, Git, Jenkins, Cucumber, and Hudson.
  • Proven ability to publish program and portfolio metrics to senior management.
  • Solid understanding of both B2B and B2C eCommerce.
  • Strong experience with Agile execution methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
