Role Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance and availability of critical applications and services.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code to promote efficiency.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operational processes.
• Conduct regular capacity planning and performance analysis.
• Respond to incidents and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development teams for continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
• Participate in on-call duty rotations to ensure high availability.
• Build and manage load balancing and failover solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Document solutions and create knowledge base articles.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for improving reliability.
• Work with security teams to ensure infrastructure security compliance.
• Engage in performance testing and tuning of applications.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers.

Skills : cloud infrastructure (aws, azure, gcp),performance tuning,networking concepts,monitoring tools (prometheus, grafana, nagios),cloud infrastructure,automation tools,incident management,devops,load balancing,network security,scripting languages (python, bash, ruby),containerization (docker, kubernetes),scripting languages,automation tools (ansible, puppet, chef),site reliability engineering,security best practices
