ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Wipro Technologies is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer / Developer with advanced knowledge of Grafana Stack design, best practices, and standards. As a member of the Wipro team you will be required to
- Design, implement, and configure Grafana dashboards and visualizations to meet the monitoring and observability needs of various teams.
- Integrate Grafana with diverse data sources, including time-series databases (e.g., Prometheus, InfluxDB), logging systems (e.g., Elasticsearch, Loki), and APM tools.
- Develop and maintain Grafana data source plugins and query language extensions as needed.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams to understand their monitoring requirements and translate them into effective Grafana solutions.
- Define and implement the best practices for Grafana dashboard design, organization, and user access control.
- Automate the deployment and management of Grafana infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Grafana configuration, data connectivity, and dashboard performance.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Grafana setups, dashboards, and workflows.
- Stay up to date with the latest Grafana features, updates, and best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization efforts for the Grafana platform.
- Ensure the security and compliance of the Grafana environment and data.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively utilize Grafana AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a technical role focused on monitoring, observability, or systems administration.
- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Grafana in a production environment is essential.
- Familiarity with various data sources commonly integrated with Grafana.
- Experience in leveraging ML and AI components for projections, Anomaly Detection, SKILLS :
- Strong hands-on experience with Grafana configuration, dashboard creation, and alert setup.
- Proficiency in querying and visualizing data from at least one major time-series database (e.g., Prometheus, InfluxDB, Graphite).
- Understanding of monitoring and observability principles and best practices.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line interface.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills.
- Ability to document technical solutions clearly and concisely.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and data TO HAVE SKILLS :
- Experience with other monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus Alertmanager, Loki, Elasticsearch, APM platforms).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their monitoring aspects.
- Familiarity with different data visualization techniques and best practices.
- Experience in setting up and managing Grafana authentication and authorization.
- Understanding of security best practices for monitoring systems.
- Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools.
- Ability to contribute to Grafana community forums or develop custom Grafana NOTES :
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for data visualization and problem-solving.
