We are seeking a talented Data & Analytics Engineer to join a dynamic, remote-first team on a contract basis. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, models, and workflows to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will work closely with analysts, business users, and other engineers to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong expertise in modern cloud data platforms, and is proficient in analytics engineering practices. You will have the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge tools in a GCP environment while enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and optimize data models in Snowflake and BigQuery to support analytics and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines using dbt, ensuring data transformation best practices.
  • Manage and schedule workflows with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
  • Integrate and process data using Python, ensuring clean, reliable, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with analysts and business users to deliver actionable insights and reporting.
  • Work with BI tools like Looker, Domo, Power BI, and Tableau to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Operate effectively within a cloud environment (GCP), leveraging cloud-native services for data and analytics.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in BI tools : Looker, Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Solid knowledge of dbt for data transformation and analytics engineering.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
  • Programming skills in Python for data integration and processing.
  • Proven experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data and analytics solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a contract or remote setup, managing priorities effectively.
