Job Title : Floor Supervisor – Bus Body Building / Metal Fabrication / Body Shop

Job Purpose :
To supervise and coordinate all activities on the factory / plant floor to ensure efficient and timely completion of bus body fabrication, assembly, painting, and finishing processes in accordance with quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Production Supervision
- Plan, allocate, and monitor daily production activities across workstations (structure, panelling, painting, electrical, trimming, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and quality teams for smooth workflow and timely issue resolution.
2. Workforce Management
Supervise and guide skilled and semi-skilled technicians, welders, fitters, electricians, and helpers.Assign work based on skill and availability; ensure balanced workload distribution.Conduct on-the-job training and ensure discipline and productivity among shop-floor workers.3. Quality & Process Control
Ensure all stages of body fabrication comply with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Conduct in-process inspections and ensure defect-free output.Coordinate with the Quality Control department for inspections and rectifications.4. Safety & Housekeeping
Enforce safety standards and PPE usage on the factory / plant floor.Ensure compliance with factory safety rules and regulations.Maintain cleanliness, and proper material handling practices.To Create safe, organized, and efficient workplace that reduces waste, improves productivity, and boosts employee morale5. Material & Resource Management
Ensure availability of materials, tools, and consumables for continuous workflow.Minimize wastage and monitor material usage efficiency.Report shortages or delays in material supply to relevant departments.6. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain daily production records, manpower utilization reports, and progress charts.Report deviations, breakdowns, and corrective actions taken.Participate in production planning and review meetings.Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Diploma / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering. ( passed / course completed also will be considered )Experience : 3 to 5 years of experience in a vehicle or bus body building industry, preferably in production supervision or shop-floor coordination.Technical Skills : Knowledge of bus body structures, fabrication, welding, fitting, painting, and finishing processes.Key Competencies :
Strong leadership and team management skills.Practical knowledge of manufacturing drawings and tools.Good communication and coordination ability.Problem-solving and decision-making skills.Focus on safety, quality, and productivity.Working hours : 08 : 45 am to 06 : 00pm
