Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Marketplace Operations Specialist based in Noida. Responsibilities include managing daily operations on marketplace platforms, overseeing marketplace sales processes, implementing operational strategies, and ensuring smooth execution of projects. The role also involves analyzing data to drive performance improvements, communicating with internal teams and marketplace partners, and maintaining effective operational workflows. P&L Management, Profitability Strategies under High-Cost Structures, Platform Relationship Management, and High-Growth Target Achievement.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Platform Strategy & P&L Ownership :
- As a key decision-maker, independently own the end-to-end operational P&L for the company's brands on major e-commerce platforms (e.G., Flipkart, Amazon, etc.).
- Lead pricing strategy, cost accounting, and profitability analysis , ensuring products achieve healthy Unit Economics while navigating high platform collaboration costs (e.G., high commission fees, service charges) .
- Initiate and plan the promotional strategy and financial budget for all major sale events (e.G., Festive Sales / Big Billion Days), taking financial responsibility for key promotions and controlling price adjustments and discount dilution within pre-set margin targets.
- Develop annual and quarterly platform growth strategies to achieve high-growth sales targets during brand launch and subsequent expansion.
2. Advanced Advertising and Data Optimization :
Manage and allocate the total in-platform advertising budget, guiding execution teams to run efficient campaigns and continuously optimizing ACoS and ROAS.Oversee high-level SEO optimization, keyword research, Listing creation, and A+ Content design, ensuring content quality is best-in-class.Provide detailed performance reports to the executive level, deeply analyzing key e-commerce metrics (CR%, ad efficiency, inventory health), and proposing actionable improvements.3. Compliance and Platform Relationship Management :
Act as the brand representative to directly liaise with Platform Key Account Managers (KAM) or executives for business negotiations and contract reviews, ensuring operations and partnership terms meet company requirements.Performance Metrics :
Platform Sales and Gross Margin (GMV & Profitability) achieved independently.Quarterly / annual sales target achievement rate.Platform Ad Cost of Sales (ACoS) and Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).Inventory turnover rate and catalog health score.Required Qualifications :
3 -8 years of experience in Amazon / Flipkart operations, with a deep understanding of the Indian e-commerce landscape. Team management or independent vertical ownership experience preferred.Must possess independent P&L decision-making capability and SKU-level profitability analysis skills.Proficiency in Catalog Management, A+ Content creation, and advanced PPC campaign optimization.Qualifications
