Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Sanctions and PEP Research function. The Team Lead will be responsible for ensuring compliance and mitigating risk by comprehensively screening individuals and entities against global sanctions lists (OFAC, EU, UN, HMT, and others), as well as managing ongoing PEP identification and monitoring. This role demands both domain expertise in AML / Sanctions / PEP research and leadership skills to manage a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the Sanctions and PEP Research team, ensuring delivery excellence.
• Conduct thorough reviews of high-risk individuals and entities, identifying true / false / partial matches and documenting findings accurately.
• Maintain strong knowledge of global regulatory practices (AML, OFAC, Sanctions, PEPs) and local laws.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive database of PEPs with ongoing risk categorization.
• Apply secondary research methods for data extraction from relevant global sources.
• Ensure all data is cleaned, standardized, and verified to maintain integrity.
• Deliver all outputs within agreed SLAs and timelines, keeping stakeholders informed.
• Explore opportunities for workflow automation and process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Product, Tech, Compliance) to align research and automation strategies with organizational goals.
