Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior GM - Warehouse to join our Manufacturing units.

Reporting to Plant Head, you will be focusing on Warehouse and Logistics areas in Supply Chain function at plant.

The primary responsibility of the role includes (but is not limited to) :

  • Responsible for 200,000 sqft of space with 120Meu of inventory across 22,000 pallet positions. Includes ASRS, AMR's, VNA's and other MHE equipment.
  • Responsible for end-to-end operations of warehouse including dock management, receiving, putway, issuance to line, cycle counting and FG movement
  • Need to be digitally savy & experience so that operations can be automized and we have a high degree of service level.
  • Continuous Improvement activities for space and process efficiencies will be a key focus area
  • Building future leaders in warehouse and developing talent pipeline
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy and maintaining it at 99.8% or above (net inventory)
  • Responsible for both strategic and tactical planning including workforce management - Total employee strength (contractual included) is 180 people
  • Responsible for SPS cards and enhancing culture (Schneider performance system) at warehouse.
  • Improve the material flow and handling efficiencies by using Industrial engineering techniques / processes.
  • Building One campus warehouse as centre of excellence and a beacon for other sites to emulate.
  • Manage 3 shift operations in warehouse
  • Responsible for cost improvement actions at the warehouse and bringing productivity by working on various elements / suppliers.

Key Elements of the role :

  • Order Booking and Receives order from customers and IG group.
  • Acknowledge orders for direct customers through email.
  • Catalog

    the data in the SAP system accurately.

  • Coordination with transporters and Interact with transporters / vendors periodically and appraise them about their services.
  • Receives and gives input for continual improvement.
  • Receive and verify transporters bills and give clearance to accounts for payment.
  • Handling the casual workers and Training :

  • Deal with casual workers and improve their productivity in Material movement, packing and dispatching.
  • Allocate work effectively and with the given team effectively handle dispatches.
  • Conduct training on material handling system to all existing and new workers.

  • Customer Handling :
  • Communicate promptly to the customers about the dispatch details. Analyze internal situation and anticipate problems in delays. Inform in advance in case of such delays.

    As a single point of contact with customers and DC, receive all inputs and issues from them.

    Work with the internal logistics and other cross functional team to solve the issues quickly and effectively.

  • Ensure movement of Finished goods to appropriate location and update the data in SAP system.
  • Generate delivery details and ensure packing of materials as per the order specification.
  • Generate invoice for the packed material. Generate all other shipping documents, / excise documents.
  • What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • 12 years of Experience in Warehouse and Supply Chain Logistics function.
  • Experience in Execution management in
  • Manufacturing supply chain, preferably

    International trade

  • Basic ERP knowledge (preferably in SAP), Basic Ability to read, write and speak in English, Understand and Speak in local language.
  • B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechnical / Electrical / Production, preferably PG Diploma in Logistics Management / Materials Management
