Technical Support Engineer

Technical Skills:

• Working experience on ESXi (vSphere) & VM snapshots and clones or NUTANIX AHV
• Working knowledge on ESXi HA, storage motion, Dynamic Optimization or simimlar experience in Nutanix.
• Good Understanding on Cloud computing and Need to have VCP & MCSE or equivalent
• VmWare vSphere / Nutanix AHV administration expertise.
• Manage vCenter server and all its supporting infrastructure i.e. vCenter Database server, SSO & update manager server.
• Server Migration - Migrating from one OS to other flavor, Hardware Refresh -Move Windows OS from one HW to other HW, Virtualization P2V V2V Migration.
• Exp. in Veritas Backup solutions(DLO/Backup Exec/Netbackup) & Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Create / edit / modify backup policies according to the requirements of the organisation
• Exp in Tape rotation, tape management, tap libraries, windows, linux, unix.
• Monitor Backup infrastructure for Critical event errors and warnings as per the backup window specified.
• Execute approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes in backup infrastructure.
• Practical experience working in an any enterprise backup solutions.
• Eager to learn and apply new skills quickly

Certifications:

Certification should have been done in at least 2 out of VMWare/Nutanix/Veritas/Veeam backup solutions.

Job Description:

• Understand customer requirement thoroughly and arrive at a optimum bill of material
• COnduct PoC/ PoC / Demostration of solutions
• Arrive at the scope of work and project plan with respect to implementation of solutions.
• Conduct implementation end to end and responsible for complete documentation of the same.
• Vendor co-ordination for hardware maintenance and hardware errors, event problems.
• Escalate unresolved problems to the OEM/vendor for problem resolution
• Execute approved maintenance activities including patching and configuration change.
