AS / 400 Programmer

We are seeking a skilled AS / 400 Programmer with 4 to 5 years of experience to develop, maintain, and support applications on the IBM AS / 400 (IBM i) platform. The candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver efficient and reliable solutions that support core business functions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM AS / 400 platform using RPG , CL , and other related languages.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and programs.
• Enhance existing applications and optimize code for performance improvements.
• Debug and resolve issues reported in production and development environments.
• Work with DB2 / 400 database, write efficient SQL queries and manage data access.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical documentation preparation.
• Support batch and online applications, ensuring timely processing and data integrity.
• Collaborate with other developers, business analysts, and users to ensure seamless application functionality.
• Assist in migration and modernization efforts of legacy systems, where applicable.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot technical issues.
