Motherson - Android Automotive Test Framework Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain test frameworks and automation tools for Android-based automotive infotainment systems.
• Develop and enhance C++ modules and integrate with Android Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for system-level testing and validation.
• Build and maintain Android test applications using Java and Android SDK for validating Android Automotive features.
• Implement and optimize automated test scripts to validate system performance, stability, and compliance with automotive standards.
• Work closely with Android Framework and HAL teams to validate system components, drivers, and middleware for infotainment systems.
• Develop and execute tests for embedded interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, and CAN, ensuring robust communication between software and hardware modules.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and perform debugging using tools like ADB, logcat, and GDB to ensure system stability and reliability.
• Manage source code and automation pipelines using Git, Jenkins, and GitLab CI; ensure continuous integration and delivery of test builds.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, QA engineers, and hardware teams to resolve issues and improve test coverage.
