Project Controller :
The Project Controller plays a key role in ensuring the effective management and monitoring of project finances, schedules, and performance. This position is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the project's financial status, performance metrics, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget. The Project Controller works closely with the project management team, Sub-Cons, and stakeholders to ensure proper financial and operational controls are in place.
- Develop and maintain the project budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated and tracked accurately.
- Prepare regular financial reports for project managers, senior management, and stakeholders, including cost forecasts, earned value analysis, and financial performance metrics.
- Monitor project spending, track variances, and report on budget status regularly.
- Assist in establishing cost control processes and procedures for the project.
- Track project expenditures, highlighting any discrepancies or budget overruns.
- Work with project managers to implement corrective actions to mitigate cost overruns or delays.
- Monitor and report on project progress against the established schedule.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and help identify key milestones and deadlines. Support the project manager in tracking critical path activities and ensuring that the project remains on schedule.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and issues related to project cost and schedule. Work with the project team to develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
- Maintain project data, records, and documents related to costs, schedules, contracts, and other project controls.
- Track and analyze project performance metrics, identifying any issues or concerns.
- Support project managers in the preparation of project reviews and performance assessments.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Masters in Construction Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project control, financial management, or a similar role.Strong understanding of project management principles, cost control, and scheduling.Experience working in a project-based environment, preferably within construction, engineering, or large infrastructure projects.Proficiency in project control software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Power Bi or equivalent).Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Location
