Role Overview:
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Nutrition, you will play a critical role in ensuring the clinical accuracy, quality, and effectiveness of HealthTick's nutrition and coaching programs.
You will lead training and quality assurance for Health Coaches, act as the final authority on nutrition-related content, and ensure that all guidance delivered to users is scientifically accurate, behaviour-focused, and aligned with HealthTick's philosophy.
This role combines clinical expertise, people training, and quality ownership, with direct accountability for user outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Audits
- Conduct regular audits of coach-user calls, chats, and messages to ensure empathy, clarity, and alignment with HealthTick's methodology
- Ensure adherence to approved clinical and behavioural frameworks
- Identify gaps and provide structured feedback to coaches
Training & Capability Building
- Design and deliver training programs for Health Coaches
- Shift coaches away from a prescriptive diet mindset toward a holistic, behaviour-change-driven approach
- Conduct refresher sessions, case-based learning, and upskilling workshops
Clinical Governance & Fact-Checking
- Act as the final gatekeeper for nutrition-related information
- Ensure no unscientific, misleading, or unsafe advice is delivered to users
- Review and validate nutrition content, protocols, and internal training material
Performance & Team Enablement
- Define and track KPIs related to coaching quality, engagement, and health outcomes
- Support hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of Health Coaches
- Lead weekly difficult case reviews for users who are plateauing or struggling
Process & Program Optimization
- Develop and refine standardised response frameworks across the four pillars:
Eating, Sleep, Stress, and Activity
- Collaborate with product, content, and leadership teams to improve coaching quality and outcomes
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Master's Degree in Clinical Nutrition (mandatory)
- Experience: Prior experience in training, mentoring, or quality assurance of nutritionists/health coaches
- Mindset: Strong belief in holistic wellness and sustainable habit change (not rigid diet plans)
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex nutrition science
- Leadership: Ability to guide, mentor, and elevate a team of coaches
