Job descriptionJoin a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and mathematicians focused on developing catastrophe models for the insurance and reinsurance industries. Lead efforts in generating innovative solutions using machine learning and high-resolution numerical weather models to simulate extreme weather events such as cyclones, storm surge, convective storms, and flooding, reflecting a changing climate. Advance the development, support, and delivery of the hazard component of atmospheric peril models that inform global risk and capital management decisions. Improve the accuracy of representing atmospheric perils through statistical and computational methods. Contribute to model development, validation, and productization for clients worldwide. Support model development by leveraging observational and reanalysis datasets, General Circulation Models (GCMs), and high-resolution climate simulations.
