Director – Evidence Synthesis

📍 Global Team | Remote / Hybrid Collaboration

🧬 Evidence Synthesis | Systematic Reviews | HEOR | RWE | Leadership

A leading global evidence generation consultancy is expanding its Evidence Synthesis (ES) leadership team and is seeking an experienced Director – Evidence Synthesis . This senior role offers the opportunity to guide high-impact research across the life sciences sector, partnering closely with global teams in RWE, HEOR, biostatistics, analytics, and market access .

If you have deep expertise in systematic reviews, advanced ES methodologies, scientific leadership, and people management, this position offers a highly influential platform to drive strategy, quality, and innovation across evidence generation.

What You Will Lead & Deliver

📚 Evidence Synthesis Expertise

  • Provide oversight for systematic, structured, and targeted literature searches using Embase, Medline, Cochrane (via Ovid) and other databases.
  • Ensure scientific rigor across all phases of literature reviews — search design, screening, data extraction, and QC .
  • Guide teams analyzing extensive evidence bases to identify key messages aligned with project objectives.
  • Apply and oversee quantitative ES methodologies such as meta-analysis, meta-regression, indirect treatment comparisons (NMA, MAIC) .

📝 Scientific Communication & Deliverables

  • Oversee development of high-quality technical reports , ensuring precise referencing (EndNote) and adherence to scientific and organizational standards.
  • Guide creation of polished presentations, dossiers, and client-facing materials .
  • Ensure deliverables are on time and within allocated project budgets.

    • 🤝 Leadership, Strategy & Mentorship

  • Provide direct line management to ES team members, including mentorship, performance development, and upskilling.
  • Lead internal and external meetings, representing the ES function with professionalism and subject-matter authority.
  • Identify process improvements, template enhancements, and new methodological innovations to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Contribute to business development , including proposals and capability presentations.
  • Support thought leadership by encouraging and leading publications and scientific posters for international conferences.

    • 🎓 Who We’re Looking For

    Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years in evidence synthesis across multiple disease areas and project types.
  • Master’s or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience, including line management (global team experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of market access, HEOR , and evidence requirements in major global markets (US / UK / EU experience preferred).

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
