About Role :

We are seeking an experienced DBA Manager to lead our database administration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Oracle 19c database environments, with proven expertise in performance tuning, scripting, backup and recovery, and managing multitenant architectures. This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who can drive operational excellence, mentor team members, and ensure the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage the database administration team, setting goals, priorities, and development plans.
  • Coordinate delivery of Support Services to meet customer goals and objectives.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance of Oracle 19c environments.
  • Managing the budget and resources, allocating tasks to team members, and ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Oversee Core DBA activities, upgrades, and installations.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to keep everyone informed about progress
  • Maintaining positive relationships with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Assessing customer feedback and making improvements.
  • Following deadlines and organizing review meetings.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to align database solutions with business needs.
  • Establish and enforce database security, compliance, and disaster recovery best practices.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report database health, ensuring systems meet high availability and performance standards.
  • Provide support for critical database incidents, including root cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Keep up to date with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle 19c database administration.
  • Hands-on expertise in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge in scripting languages : Shell, Python, Bash.
  • In-depth experience with patching Oracle databases.
  • Hands-on experience managing Multitenant Architectures (CDB / PDB).
  • Expert-level knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including RMAN.
  • Solid understanding of database security practices and standards.
