About the Role :
We are seeking a BigCommerce Project Manager who has hands-on experience managing BigCommerce implementations and upgrades . This role requires someone who understands the BigCommerce ecosystem end-to-end — from setup, theme customization, and integrations to store launch and post-deployment optimization. The ideal candidate has led multiple BigCommerce-focused projects , collaborating closely with developers, clients, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality e-commerce experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the full lifecycle of BigCommerce projects — from requirements gathering and sprint planning to deployment and post-launch optimization.
Act as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams for all BigCommerce-related initiatives.
Collaborate with developers and designers to deliver custom BigCommerce storefronts, APIs, and integrations .
Oversee migration projects to BigCommerce from platforms like Shopify, Magento, or WooCommerce.
Ensure timely and high-quality project delivery aligned with scope, timelines, and budget.
Identify and implement BigCommerce apps and third-party integrations to enhance site functionality.
Monitor QA, testing, and performance to ensure flawless store launches.
Provide proactive communication to clients and stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
Drive continuous improvement in project processes, especially for BigCommerce delivery workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
3+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager specifically handling BigCommerce projects (mandatory).
Strong understanding of BigCommerce platform architecture, APIs, customizations, and integrations .
Experience in BigCommerce migration , theme customization , and store setup .
Familiarity with front-end and back-end teams working on SaaS e-commerce platforms.
Excellent organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies .
Proficiency in Jira, Trello, or Asana for project tracking.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good understanding of e-commerce operations — product catalog, checkout, payments, shipping, and fulfillment workflows.
