As a .NET Architect, you will lead architectural design, strategic planning, and robust development of modernization initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will encompass guiding the architectural vision and framework, designing and implementing highly scalable, resilient microservices architectures using .NET Core and AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will have profound expertise in .NET ecosystems, extensive experience in microservices design principles, and a commitment to crafting high-quality, efficient software solutions. The role requires being hands-on and able to troubleshoot and assist the development team when they encounter technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect for high-quality, scalable, and resilient software systems using .NET Core and AWS, based on microservices architecture.

Will be required to analyze the modernization of the current application and design solutions using microservices architecture.

Serve as the primary design authority, ensuring architectural solutions meet technical and business requirements, and advocate for adherence to design standards and best practices throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Provide technical oversight and guidance to development teams, ensuring implementations align with the architectural vision.

Should be hands-on and capable of resolving technical issues to support the team.

Develop and present Proof of Concepts (POCs) to lead solution efforts.

Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into functional architectural designs.

Oversee the development and integration of APIs and microservices, ensuring efficient data flow and service interoperability.

Design and implement API management using AWS API Gateway for policy enforcement, authorization, and security.

Mentor and train developers on advanced coding standards, new technologies, and architectural principles.

Ensure architectural integrity and compliance through reviews and effective governance processes.

Promote continuous improvement practices for software development and architecture.

Establish DevSecOps pipelines for CI / CD, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK).

Required Skills & Experience

12+ Years Experience : Proven track record as a .NET Developer and Architect with a focus on .NET Core Microservices and API development.

Expertise in .NET Ecosystem : Deep understanding of .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Web API, and related frameworks.

Architectural Patterns and Design Mastery : Proficiency in architectural patterns, SOLID principles, and design patterns including SAGA, CQRS, and Domain Driven Design (DDD).

Microservices and Cloud Architecture : Advanced knowledge of microservices design patterns, domain-driven design, and AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, IAM.

High-Performance Systems Design : Ability to architect systems for high availability, performance, and scalability.

Containerization and Orchestration : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).

Event-driven Architecture : Proficiency in Kafka or similar technologies.

Should have experience working on observability tools like Datadog.

Security : Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Okta.

CI / CD and DevSecOps : Familiarity with Git, Jenkins / GitLab, SonarQube, Snyk, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK).

Database Experience : Experience with both relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB).

Unit Testing : Proficiency in writing effective unit test cases (xUnit / nUnit) with code coverage.

Agile Development : Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.

Strong Technical and Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a strong understanding of system development methodologies, techniques, and tools.

Should have experience in the insurance domain with a good understanding of the policy lifecycle.

Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.
