Job Summary
The role will play a key role in supporting Jio Hotstar’s South Indian Digital cluster by leading strategic planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada content verticals. The role focuses on analyzing business performance, optimizing resources, and ensuring seamless alignment with the platform’s overall strategic and growth objectives.

The team is responsible for strategizing and delivering innovative digital content that resonates with diverse South Indian audiences. By blending creative and culturally rooted fiction, nonfiction, and event-based programming, the team plays a pivotal role in shaping the platform’s digital identity and driving audience engagement. Focused on redefining entertainment in the digital era, they continuously push creative boundaries to offer content that inspires, excites, and connects with viewers across the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual business plan for the South Digital cluster, ensuring alignment with Jio Hotstar’s overall strategic and growth objectives.
- Analyze audience insights, content performance, and market trends to identify growth opportunities and optimize digital investments across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada verticals.
- Partner with content, marketing, product, and monetization teams to align platform strategies with business goals and viewer engagement objectives.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for regional content and marketing initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and ROI optimization.
- Track financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend strategic actions to achieve revenue, subscription, and engagement targets.
- Deliver periodic business reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior management with actionable insights.
- Monitor KPIs across content consumption, user acquisition, retention, and monetization to evaluate platform performance.
- Leverage data-driven insights to guide decisions on content strategy, marketing effectiveness, and platform innovation.
- Benchmark digital performance against competitors and industry trends to identify areas of differentiation and improvement.
- Serve as the primary business liaison for the South Digital cluster
- Ensure alignment of regional digital priorities with the platform’s overall vision and long-term objectives.
