Salesforce Commerce Cloud Solution Architect / Lead – Contractor

Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Salesforce Commerce Cloud Solution Architect (Contractor) to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of global, scalable commerce solutions on the DASH 360 platform. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Commerce Cloud with the ability to design multi-cloud, enterprise-level solutions.

This role works closely with Product Owners, Architects, and global IT teams to build a unified digital commerce ecosystem across Commerce, Manufacturing, Experience, Marketing, and Data Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

Architect scalable, reusable, and high-performance Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2B / B2C) solutions.

Design multi-cloud architectures integrating Manufacturing, Experience, Marketing, and Data Cloud.

Lead architecture reviews and define global design standards.

Promote headless commerce and API-first models.

Create architecture documents, system diagrams, and data flow designs.

Engineering Quality & Performance

Enforce TDD, CI / CD, and high-quality coding practices.

Ensure code is modular, reusable, and aligned with Salesforce best practices.

Track KPIs : performance, code quality, scalability, and defect reduction.

Build reusable accelerators, templates, and integration frameworks.

Lead performance tuning and root-cause analysis for high-volume commerce systems.

Integration & Cross-Cloud Expertise

Architect integrations using MuleSoft or similar middleware.

Enable real-time sync for orders, pricing, tax, inventory, and customer data.

Ensure alignment with Marketing Cloud journeys and Experience Cloud portals.

Use Data Cloud for personalization and predictive experiences.

Leadership & Collaboration

Act as the technical authority and mentor for global teams.

Provide architecture governance and design feedback.

Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work with Salesforce Architects to maintain a unified enterprise architecture.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

Define global architecture standards and CI / CD best practices.

Monitor system performance and resolve scalability issues proactively.

Evaluate Salesforce releases and recommend improvements.

Align business and IT priorities with architecture strategy.

Required Qualifications

10+ years Salesforce experience, with 5+ years in Commerce Cloud (B2B / B2C).

Proven experience delivering large, multi-region commerce implementations.

Strong integration skills with MuleSoft or similar tools.

Expertise in global order management, product / catalog data, and pricing models.

Experience in performance tuning and scalable architecture.

Strong knowledge of automation, CI / CD, and Git-based DevOps.

Familiarity with Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce B2B / B2C Commerce Architect or Application Architect certifications.

Experience in multi-org global environments with complex integrations.

Knowledge of Agile / Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence.

Experience with headless commerce, Apex REST APIs, and Lightning Web Components.
