Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of the finance& accounting, set goals and objectives.
  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year process, accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
  • Provide financial MIS reports and interpret financial information to the management
  • Manage the preparation of the companys budget.
  • Liaise with auditors / consultants for all statutory compliances including GST, PF, ESI etc.
  • Correspond with various government departments, banks etc.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a Financial & Accounts Manager
  • Experience in the industrial sector primarily engaged in imports & export of machineries.
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
