Generative AI Engineer Intern

Role Description

This is an internship role for a Generative AI Engineer Intern at Pythrust Technologies. This is a hybrid role with flexibility for remote work. The intern will work closely with our product and engineering teams to experiment with large language models, build small AI features, fine-tune open-source models, and assist with integrating generative AI into real products. You will get hands-on exposure to prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, AI APIs, pipelines, and model evaluation. This is a high-learning, high-ownership role suited for someone who wants to build actual AI solutions rather than just theoretical projects.

Note : This is an unpaid internship. It is designed for learning, portfolio building, and gaining real-world AI engineering exposure inside a fast-paced product team.

Responsibilities

• Experiment with generative AI models (LLMs, image models, embeddings, etc.)
• Assist in fine-tuning and optimizing open-source models
• Build small prototypes and AI features for internal product experiments
• Design, test, and refine AI prompts and workflows
• Support integration of AI capabilities into web / mobile products
• Perform research on latest AI tools, techniques, and APIs
• Document experiments, results, and implementation approaches
• Collaborate with product designers and developers on feature building
