Job Summary : We are looking for a versatile, adaptable professional with an inclination towards crafting, who can wear multiple hats and drive marketing initiatives-including but not limited to : cataloguing, content creation, automation, social media management, and business scaling. The Startup Specialist will work closely with the founder to implement innovative strategies, optimize business functions, and help turn the brand's vision into reality.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Marketing

  • Develop and execute content strategies that resonate with the brand's target audience.
  • Create engaging visuals, videos, blog posts, and tutorials showcasing our craft products and their applications.
  • Collaborate with artisans to capture process-driven content and behind-the-scenes stories.
  • Document visuals from our workshops and drive engagement on social media to foster a vibrant online community.
  • Manage and grow the brand's presence across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube. Schedule, post, and monitor content to ensure a consistent voice and tone.
  • Design marketing collateral such as brochures, how-to guides, and packaging inserts.

    • Cataloguing

  • Organize and maintain product listings across platforms (website, marketplaces, etc.).
  • Write compelling product titles, descriptions, and specifications.
  • Ensure consistent tagging, categorization, and image quality.

    • Automation

  • Ideate, structure, automate, and implement marketing processes for scalability.
  • Set up and optimize email flows (abandoned cart, welcome series, etc.).
  • Use tools like Shopify Flow, Zapier, Make, or Klaviyo to automate key workflows.
  • Streamline tasks such as order notifications, lead capture, and CRM syncing.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and propose tech-driven solutions to increase efficiency.

    • Business Scaling

  • Analyze customer behavior and sales data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support the launch of new product lines or kits based on trend research.
  • Contribute to the creation of craft-related tutorials, DIY content, and workshop guides.
  • Assist with onboarding vendors, partners, and collaborators.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments and recommend improvements.

    • Qualifications :

  • Experience : 0-2 years. This role is ideal for beginners passionate about crafts and eager to contribute to a fast-growing startup.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.

    • Skills :

  • Proficient in organizing product listings, writing descriptions, and managing SKUs on platforms like Shopify and marketplaces.
  • Skilled in writing engaging content and creating visual assets (reels, posts, guides) using Canva or similar tools, with a strong design sense.
  • Experience managing social media content across Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube, including engagement and analytics.
  • Familiarity with automation tools like Klaviyo, Shopify Flow, Make, or Zapier for streamlining marketing operations.
  • Comfortable using Canva, Adobe Express, or Figma for creating brand-aligned marketing materials.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, monitor KPIs, and support business scaling.
