Security Monitoring and Incident Response
- Monitor networks and systems for potential security breaches.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and anomalies.
- Conduct forensic analysis to determine the root cause of breaches.
System and Network Security
Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.Patch and update software and systems to protect against known vulnerabilities.Policy and Compliance
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS).Conduct employee cybersecurity awareness training.Risk Management
Identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new projects and technologies.Recommend security enhancements based on the evolving threat landscape.Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with IT, legal, and compliance teams.Prepare reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk management activities.Advise management on security best practices and investment needs.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certifications (Preferred) :
CompTIA Security+Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate or equivalentExperience :
2–5 years of experience in network security, system administration, or cybersecurity operations.
Skills
Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).Scripting or programming experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash).Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
