Roles and Responsibilities
Complete allocated tasks according to standard methods within stipulated timelines.
Perform day-to-day analyses, verify analytical results, prepare test reports, and ensure timely submission.
Conduct regular analysis of QC check samples to maintain data reliability.
Verify performance of laboratory instruments and equipment before use.
Perform calibration of instruments, equipment, and glassware according to standard methods.
Identify SOPs or documents requiring revision and report to the Laboratory Manager.
Coordinate with site personnel for preparation of field monitoring reagents.
Handle delivery notes for equipment and monitoring kits at the site.
Analyze results, including statements of conformity, opinions, and interpretations.
Review, report, and authorize results as per laboratory procedures.
Participate in the development, design, modification, verification, and validation of QA / QC systems.
Generate and maintain documentation in compliance with national and international standards.
Prepare monthly chemical and consumable requirements with technical specifications.
Qualification & Experience
B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, or relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience in Ambient Air, Source Emissions, and Soil, Water, and Wastewater analysis using GC, AAS, UV-VIS, and minor instruments.
Knowledge of ISO / IEC 17025 : 2017 quality management systems is preferred.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to supervise and train laboratory personnel.
Familiarity with calibration, QA / QC procedures, and instrument handling.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
