Data Engineer

Required Experience : 7+ years in data engineering

Skill set : SQL / Python / Bash / AWS CLI / Snowflake CLI

Primary Skills

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering or equivalent work experience

7+ years of data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience

3+ years of experience with Snowflake

3+ years of experience in AWS (or similar cloud technologies) cloud stack including S3, IAM, Athena, SNS, SQS, and EMR.

3+ years of SQL Server and experience with tools such as SSIS and SSRS

Programming experience in Python and Linux bash

Capability of architecting highly scalable distributed systems, using different open-source tools

Demonstrated experience with agile or other rapid application development methods

Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design, coding and testing patterns as well as experience in engineering (commercial or open source) software platforms and data infrastructures

Expert knowledge of data modeling and understanding of different data structures and their benefits and limitations under particular use cases

Experience using Big Data batch and streaming tools

Ability to collaborate and partner across a diverse team

Effective communication skills with business user, stakeholders and other developers

Ability to create strong work ethics and committed teams, foster open dialogue, and promote individual and team success

Good to Have Skills

Financial Services Industry experience is a plus

Certifications in AWS or Snowflake
