Senior Systems Administrator – Linux & Azure | Hyderabad | 24x7 Rotational

Location : Hyderabad (4 days from office, 1 day remote)

Experience Required : 5+ years

Shift : 24x7 rotational (mandatory)

Work Type : Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to manage and scale mission-critical infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Linux and Microsoft Azure administration , along with experience in enterprise production systems.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring infrastructure reliability, performance, and security in a fast-paced, high-impact environment supporting large-scale systems in the defense and transportation domain .

Core Responsibilities

Azure Administration

  • Design and manage Azure resources using ARM templates and Terraform.
  • Implement secure and scalable environments with VNet, NSGs, Load Balancers, and Gateways.
  • Monitor infrastructure with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization.
  • Assist in cloud migrations, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Azure certification (Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect Expert) is a strong plus.

Linux Administration (CentOS / Red Hat)

  • Manage Linux production servers : patching, performance tuning, and secure hardening (SELinux, iptables).
  • Handle storage (LVM), file shares (NFS / SMB), and automate tasks using Bash, Ansible, or Chef.
  • Troubleshoot issues across systems and networks; coordinate with vendors when necessary.
  • Support and configure tools like Apache, NGINX, FTP / SFTP.

    • Secondary Skills (Windows Server + VMware)

  • Maintain Windows Servers and virtual infrastructure (VMware / Hyper-V).
  • Ensure system backups, recovery protocols, and high availability.
  • Assist with IAM (Identity Access Management) across hybrid platforms.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Linux and Azure administration .
  • Exposure to hybrid enterprise environments and production-level systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 rotational support model .
