Key Responsibilities :
- Handle cargo claims in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, aiming to close claims within the legal ambit.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claims handling relationships within the respective management area.
- Assess and document the factual background of claims matters and ensure claims files are updated regularly.
- Protect rights of recovery and drive recovery actions effectively.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including claimants (customers), recovery agents, lawyers, underwriters, P&I clubs, and third-party claims administrators.
- Enter and update claim data accurately in the claims database (case management system) following corporate guidelines.
- Manage and settle claims in alignment with corporate policies.
- Provide advice and support to the local claims desk regarding claims matters.
- Ensure the highest level of data quality in all claims-related documentation.
- Formulate, drive, and support loss prevention initiatives to mitigate future claims risks.
