Software Development Engineer - Test II - Automation Testing

Job description

Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust test automation frameworks using Java.
Write automated tests for Android and iOS applications using Appium and TestNG / JUnit.
Perform end-to-end testing across mobile, web, and API layers.
Design and execute performance tests using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
Set up and maintain CI / CD pipelines for automated test execution Log detailed bugs, triage defects, and assist with root cause analysis.
Participate in code reviews and continuously advocate for testability, quality, and best engineering practices.

Requirements :

4-8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.

Strong hands-on experience with Java and related testing frameworks (TestNG / JUnit).

Proven experience using Appium for mobile test automation (Android and / or iOS).

Solid understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, or Locust.

Experience with REST API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

Familiarity with build and CI tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, or GitLab CI.

Working knowledge of BDD (Cucumber) is a plus.

Good understanding of Agile methodologies, bug tracking (JIRA), and test management tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
